Disney’s The Lion King Showing at Lyceum Theatre

Come and enjoy the magical London musical, The Lion King at the magnificent Lyceum Theatre London! Year 2000 marked the debut of Walt Disney’s The Lion King and still ruling the hearts of theatre lovers. Julie Taymor’s epic production is a stunning amalgamation of live action, puppetry and mind blowing sets. The classic movie has been enlivened upon stage featuring colourful characters.

The Lion King beautifully creates the atmosphere of the African savannah with life sized elephant to the lovable, yet evil hyenas. Talented duo Elton John and Tim Rice churned out some great musical numbers such as “The Circle of Life”, “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” and “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King”.

The heart touching saga of The Lion King is set against the backdrop of African pride-lands. The show revolves around young cub Simba and his struggles to reclaim his kingdom back. Simba is born to the King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi. The evil brother of Mufasa, Scar is jealous of the newborn Prince and conspires to get rid of the King’s family to be the King of Pride Rock.

The heart-warming saga features talented cast and musicians. The two hours and forty five minutes show is recommended for 7+ kids. The opulent Lyceum Theatre is found in a popular area of London known as Covent Garden. It is located in the heart of London’s Theatreland along with wide range of restaurants near the Lyceum. The venue also features some wonderful tourist attractions such as the London Transport Museum, Covent Garden Market and the Royal Opera House. You can also enjoy visit to Soho, Leicester Square and Chinatown as they are at a walking distance from the theatre.
